Sheikh Aminu Ibrahim Daurawa, the Commander-General of the Kano State Hisbah, has tendered his resignation.
The Commander took to his Facebook page to announce his decision, citing challenges in addressing the controversial issue of “morality” among TikTok users as a contributing factor.
He stated in his post, made on Friday morning from Kaduna where he was attending a state assembly retreat, that he had exhausted all efforts to find a solution but ultimately felt unable to continue in his role.
Sheikh Daurawa concluded his message by extending an apology to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for any issues that may have arisen and for any comments made by the Governor regarding his work.
