Aprominent member and governorship aspirant of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), Paul Akintelure died on Tuesday morning.
Akintelure, who was a medical doctor, was confirmed dead in a hospital in Lagos after he battled chest pain for about four days.
His death was confirmed by the state Publicity Secretary of the party, Mr Alex Kalejaiye, while speaking to newsmen.
“It is true, I can confirm it. We would issue a statement about it shortly.” the APC spokesperson was quoted by APC.
Recall that the deceased Paul raised the alarm over an alleged threat to his life ahead of the governorship election four days ago.
“Initially, I hope these incidents would dissipate over time, yet regrettably, they have escalated to pose a serious threat to my life,” Akintelure said in a statement last Thursday.
