Governor Yusuf Calls for End to Thuggery in Kano State

Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has called on security agencies to promptly end thuggery and other disruptive activities in the Kano metropolis.

This directive was issued during the 15th weekly meeting of the Kano State Executive Council at the Government House.

In a statement by his spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, Governor Abba Kabir condemned the recent increase in thuggery and clashes involving Yan daba.

He emphasized the government’s commitment to collaborating with security agencies to ensure the safety and security of Kano’s citizens.

Governor Abba Kabir also warned judges against the unwarranted release of thugs and stressed the importance of fair and swift justice.

He urged security agencies to focus on their duty to protect lives and properties and called on the public to continue their lawful activities with confidence in the government’s dedication to their protection.

The Governor reaffirmed his administration’s resolve to maintain peace and urged citizens to support the ongoing efforts to enhance security in the state.
