NAWOJ Kano Leadership Resigns En Masse Post-Congress Meeting

The chairperson of the Nigerian Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) Kano State chapter, Hafsat Usman, along with some of the executive members, resigned immediately following the monthly Congress meeting.

Hafsat announced her resignation to Kano NAWOJ members today, July 22, 2024, at the Nigerian Union of Journalists Press Center in Kano, citing personal reasons for her decision.

She noted that in 2022, the Nigerian Union of Journalists Kano State chapter made a consensus after nominating them for the positions.

Others who resigned are NAWOJ Secretary Elizabeth Lamido from the National Television Authority, Assistant Secretary Rukkaya Umar from Radio Kano, and Treasurer Shamsiyya Ibrahim Kazaure from the National Orientation Agency.
