Hajiya Hauwa Muhammadu Jega, the mother of the former Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and former Vice Chancellor of Bayero University, Kano, Prof. Attahiru Jega, has passed away.
Hajiya Hauwa Jega, 93, died in the late hours of Friday in Abuja following a brief illness.
According to sources, the funeral prayer (Janazah) for Hajiya Hauwa is scheduled to take place today, Saturday, August 17th, at 1:30 pm at the National Mosque in Abuja.
