Kano youths organized special prayers to mark the one-year anniversary of Dr. Mariya Mahmoud Bunkure’s tenure as the Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The prayer session, held in Rano Local Government Area, was led by Bin Usman Rano, Media Aide to the Honourable Minister, and included participants from Rano, Kibiya, and Bunkure local government areas.
Malam Tajudden, the Imam of Rano GRA Mosque, who led the prayer session, emphasized the importance of seeking God’s guidance during these challenging times.
“We are gathered here not only to commemorate the achievements of our sister, Dr. Mariya, but also to call upon Allah to alleviate the economic struggles and insecurity that our country is currently facing,” he said.
Bin Usman Rano, speaking at the event, stated, “This special prayer is a reflection of our collective concern for the well-being of our nation. We pray for the success of our leaders and for divine intervention to end the economic and security challenges in our country.”
Dr. Mariya Mahmoud Bunkure is the Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria. She was previously the commissioner for higher education in Kano State. She was appointed by the Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
