Professor Musa Abdu Auyo, the former librarian of Bayero University, Kano, has passed away at the age of 63. He died in the early hours of Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at his residence in the BUK quarters.
The burial for Professor Auyo will take place today, Tuesday, August 27, 2024, following the Zuhr prayer at 1:00 PM at the BUK Newsite Jumat Mosque.
He is survived by two wives, nine children, and nine grandchildren.
Dr. Ibrahim Abdullahi, one of his former students, said, “Professor Auyo, a respected academic and dedicated member of the Department of Library and Information Sciences at Bayero University, had a profound impact on the institution and its community. His contributions to the field of library science were widely recognized and appreciated.”
