Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has approved the appointment of Alhaji Haruna Yunusa Ɗanyaya as the 17th Emir of Ningi, with 1st Class status.
Haruna is the eldest son of the late Emir of Ningi, Yunusa Muhammad Ɗanyaya, who passed away about a week ago.
This was disclosed on Sunday in a statement signed by the governor’s spokesperson, Mukhtar Gidado, in Bauchi.

The new Emir, Haruna Yunusa Ɗanyaya, was born in Ningi in 1956 and was the immediate past Chiroman Ningi. He is happily married with children.
“This decision is in exercising the powers conferred on him by Cap. 24 Item 3 (1) of the laws of Bauchi State of Nigeria (Appointment of Emirs / Chiefs and Deposition 1991) and the recommendation of the kingmakers,” the statement read.
