Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has extended congratulations to the National Leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, on his 68th birthday.
In a message posted on his verified Facebook page, the Governor acknowledged Kwankwaso’s contributions to Nigeria’s political landscape and his role in the NNPP.
“I felicitate with you, my mentor and our National Leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), on the occasion of your 68th birthday anniversary,” Yusuf stated. “Your leadership quality and range of political influence cut across the length and breadth of the country.”
Reflecting on their 38-year working relationship, Yusuf spoke of the lessons he has learned from Kwankwaso.
“In the 38 years I’ve known and worked with you, I’ve picked up so many valuable life lessons and experiences. You are indeed an embodiment of honesty, dedication, and service to the people.”
Yusuf also noted the lasting impact of Kwankwaso’s political philosophy, which has “inspired quality leaders” and contributed to the well-being of communities and the nation. He described Kwankwaso as “an indisputable force in the Nigerian polity.”
The Governor recounted Kwankwaso’s political career, including his roles as Deputy Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives, Governor of Kano State, Minister of Defence, Special Envoy to Darfur and Somalia, and Senator, as well as his candidacy in the 2023 presidential election.
Yusuf concluded, “On behalf of my humble self, family, and the government and good people of Kano State, I wish you more years of service to humanity in Nigeria and beyond.”
