In a statement released on Monday, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Dungus Abdulkarim, provided details about the arrest.

He stated that Modu, who hails from Morami village in Jakana, Konduga Local Government Area of Borno State, was apprehended by officers from the ‘A’ Divisional Police Headquarters in Damaturu.

The statement noted, “On October 20, 2024, at about 1830 hours, ‘A’ Divisional Police Headquarters, Damaturu, received credible intelligence regarding a suspected gunrunner en route to Damaturu.
