The Association of Kano Online Journalists (ASKOJ) has joined mourners nationwide in grieving the loss of Abubakar Sadik Sanusi Bature, son of Malam Sanusi Bature, the Director General of Media and Publicity to the Kano State Governor.
Abubakar tragically passed away on Thursday.
In a press statement released Friday, ASKOJ Chairman Malam Yakubu Salisu, with Secretary Yusuf Isa An-nuphawi signing on behalf of the association, described the loss as “tragic” and emphasized its impact during a period when the Director General is focused on promoting the governor’s image globally.
Reflecting on the tragedy, the chairman noted, “Ultimately, such events are the will of Almighty Allah.”
Malam Yakubu offered prayers for strength to the Bature family, calling Abubakar a “shining light” with a promising future, “gone too soon.”
The Association stands in solidarity with the family in this difficult time, praying that Allah grants them the fortitude to bear the loss of this young gem.
