Israel Strikes Iran; Saudi Arabia Calls for De-escalation

Saudi Arabia condemned Israel’s recent military strikes on Iran, highlighting the growing threat to regional stability from the escalating conflict.

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs criticized the attack, stating that it violates Iran’s sovereignty and international laws.

“The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia expresses its condemnation of the military targeting of the Islamic Republic of Iran, which constitutes a violation of its sovereignty and a contravention of international laws and norms,” the ministry posted on X.

Saudi Arabia further urged restraint to avoid expanding the conflict, warning of security implications for the region’s countries and populations.

The strikes, which Israel described as retaliation for Iran’s attacks earlier in the month, targeted multiple locations across Iran, including military sites in Tehran and nearby bases.

Iranian media reported sustained explosions starting just after 2 a.m., as Israel allegedly aimed at Iran’s air defenses, missile sites, and drone facilities.

According to Iranian officials, Israel’s actions inflicted limited damage, with no reported casualties. They claim that Iran’s air defense systems helped mitigate the assault’s impact.
