The Kano State Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has elevated 61 marshals to the officers’ cadre in a formal decoration ceremony in Kano.
State Sector Commander Umar Matazu, speaking at the event on Thursday, described the promotions as a milestone for the FRSC and a pivotal moment in the careers of the newly appointed officers.
According to Mr. Matazu, the promotions underscore the leadership of Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed, whose focus on strategic reforms has aimed at enhancing the corps’ overall performance.
“A total number of 1,395 marshals got converted to the officers’ cadre nationwide, with 61 of them from Kano State command. As you are now converted to the officer’s cadre, more responsibilities, more commitments, and more challenges lie ahead,” he stated.
Mr. Matazu urged the newly appointed officers to uphold a high standard of commitment, discipline, and loyalty in their duties.
The event also featured the decoration of the newly promoted officers with their ranks and the addition of two vehicles to the command’s fleet to support effective patrol operations.
