The Nigerian Senate is set to engage with the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) in reviewing the contentious Tax Reform Bill.
This development follows the decision by Deputy Senate President, Senator Jibrin Barau, to halt further actions on the bill on Wednesday.
Senator Barau disclosed that the AGF would meet with the Senate committee to ensure all stakeholders have the chance to express their concerns. The aim is to facilitate a thorough discussion and arrive at a balanced resolution.
The review process is scheduled to take place in Abuja on Thursday, December 5.
Senator Anna Moro, chairman of the bill review committee, along with other committee members, is expected to meet with the AGF today to address the contentious aspects of the Tax Reform Bill that have sparked widespread concerns across the country.
