Kano-based journalist Ibrahim Ishaq Danuwa Rano has lost his mother, Hajiya Rahama Mai Kasuwa Muhammad, popularly known as Baba Tani.
She passed away at the age of 78 on Saturday at Rano General Hospital following a brief illness.
Hajiya Rahama is survived by nine children and several grandchildren. Among her children are Ibrahim Ishaq Danuwa Rano, a journalist, and Comrade Aliyu Muhammad Mai Kasuwa Rano, a former Senior Special Assistant to the former Governor of Kano State, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
The burial was conducted in accordance with Islamic rites.
Friends and colleagues have extended their condolences to the bereaved family.
