The Kano State Government has reiterated its focus on developing the state road network, particularly the upcoming Kano Northern Bypass Road construction project.
Hon. Abduljabar Garko, the Commissioner for Land and Physical Planning, stated that the project is part of the federal government’s efforts to improve infrastructure in the state.
In preparation for the project, the Kano State Ministry of Land and Physical Planning has begun demolishing illegal structures on the affected land.
The Director of Administration and General Services of the ministry, Hamid Sidi Ali, led the taskforce, emphasizing that the demolition team acted after prior warnings were issued to the affected individuals, who ignored government notices.
One of the demolished structures was an under-construction company owned by an expatriate, who disregarded the warnings, necessitating government action.
Hamid Sidi Ali noted, “The Ministry will continue to guide the new land policy, aligning it with the rapid development unfolding across the state.”
