The Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) has endorsed the proposed tax reform bills under review at the National Assembly.
In a statement released on Thursday, the NGF emphasized the need for an “equitable” formula to guide the sharing of Value-Added Tax (VAT) revenues.
This position followed a meeting held on January 16, 2025, between the NGF and the Presidential Tax Reform Committee.
The meeting focused on addressing key national issues, including the overhaul of Nigeria’s fiscal policies and tax framework.
