Kano-born businessman and politician Abdussalam Abdulkarim Zaura, widely known as A.A. Zaura, hosted Peter Obi, the former Governor of Anambra State and the Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate.
Zaura shared on his verified Facebook page: “In my ongoing efforts to drive development in Kano State, I had the honor of hosting His Excellency Peter Obi, former Governor of Anambra State and presidential candidate of the Labour Party.”
Zaura, the 2023 Kano Central Senatorial candidate under the All Progressives Congress (APC), added “Beyond political divides, the A.A. Zaura Foundation and I look forward to collaborating with him on initiatives that promote growth and progress in Kano and Nigeria as a whole.”
This marks Peter Obi’s second private visit to Zaura’s residence, reflecting a developing connection between the two figures.
Political analysts view Obi’s outreach as part of his strategy to engage key stakeholders nationwide ahead of the 2027 elections.
