Danagundi Calls for Justice in BUK-Rimin Zakara Land Conflict, Kano Assembly to Investigate

The Director General of the National Productivity Centre, Dr. Baffa Babba Danagundi, has called on the Kano State House of Assembly to constitute a fact-finding panel over the land dispute between Bayero University, Kano, and the Rimin Zakara community in Ungogo Local Government.

Danagundi made the call through his Director of Media and Public Relations, Victor Ainoku.

The Director General, who sympathized with the community over the unfortunate incident, said he is aware of the land dispute between Bayero University and the Rimin Zakara community, where some fraudulent land agents took advantage of the situation by conniving with certain community members to sell the plots illegally.

“Instead of the State Assembly taking sides, they should constitute a fact-finding committee to uncover the truth of the matter. That’s how things work. Do these people have legitimate land documents, and does the land legally belong to Bayero University?”

“The Vice-Chancellor of the university is a hardworking person. I believe he is taking these steps to protect the institution from fraudulent land grabbers.”

“I am calling on both the State Assembly and the Kano State Government to launch an investigation that will reveal the truth and ensure justice is served.”

“This is not the time for exchanging words,” he said.
