Currently vying for a seat in the House of Representatives under the All Progressives Congress (APC) to represent Fagge Local Government at the National Assembly in 2027, Sagir Abba’s candidacy has sparked renewed optimism among constituents. Take for example his recent show of support for the community: distributing ₦15 million to former councillors, elders, youths, and women. For former councillors who served between 2014 and 2021, receiving ₦30,000 was more than financial support—it was a reminder that their service is valued.
The youth, often sidelined in political conversations, found a listening ear in Sagir Abba. During Ramadan, 1,000 young people received ₦10,000 each—not just as charity, but as recognition of their struggles and a step toward inclusion. It was a message: “I see you, I hear you, I’m with you.”
Women too felt this connection. Across the ten wards of Fagge, 500 women received support in the form of ₦10,000 and a wrapper each. In a society where women bear much of the burden but receive little recognition, this gesture resonated deeply. It wasn’t a slogan—it was support in action.
This is the kind of leadership people are beginning to rally around. While current representatives remain distant, Sagir Abba has stayed close. Whether it’s through his community visits, personal interactions, or consistent development efforts, he has become the face of true representation—even before the 2027 elections.
