VP Shettima Offers Condolences to Garo Family

Vice President Kashim Shettima has expressed sorrow over the passing of Alhaji Abubakar Sule Garo (Babangida), the elder brother of Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo, the All Progressives Congress (APC) deputy governorship candidate in the 2023 Kano State election.

In a condolence message signed by Stanley Nkwocha, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media & Communications, Vice President Shettima described the late Alhaji Garo as “a most committed advocate of his community who endeared himself to many with his politeness, kindness and commitment to the well-being of his people.”

The Vice President recalled that the late Abubakar Sule Garo was the former Managing Director of the Abubakar Rimi Market Management Board in Kano State, and noted that his demise was a loss to both the family and the wider community.

“His demise has left me, as well as many others, saddened. He was a proud and dedicated citizen who loved working for the common people,” the Vice President said.

Shettima prayed for Allah’s mercy on the departed soul and for strength for the family during this time. “In this time of grief, I express my condolences to the family and comfort all those he left behind. I pray Almighty Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the departed and receive his soul into eternal peace,” he added.
