Leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN), Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky, has condemned the recent attacks by Israel on Iran, describing them as acts of terrorism targeting individuals committed to justice.
In a statement from his office, Zakzaky extended condolences to the Iranian people and Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei over the deaths of senior military officers and scientists.
“The martyrdom of Gen. Hossein Salami, Gen. Gholamali Rashed, Dr. Fereydoun Abbasi, Dr. Mohammad Mehdi Tehranchi, Gen. Mohammad Bagheri, Gen. Amir Ali Hajizadeh, and many others signifies a new phase of resistance in the face of tyrannical usurpers,” he said.
He referred to the deceased as “champions of humanity and the oppressed, who gave their lives for the sake of justice and humanity,” insisting their deaths would not be in vain.
According to him, “the blood of the martyrs will only further strengthen Iran’s resolve in its struggle against tyranny and serve as a source of inspiration for oppressed people around the world.”
“Sheikh Zakzaky believes that the Zionist entity cannot defeat the will of justice and freedom-seeking peoples around the globe,” the statement added.
He also said the killings would boost the morale of the Axis of Resistance, including Palestine, Yemen, Lebanon, and Iraq.
Zakzaky described the Iranian people as followers of the late Imam Khomeini, “who remain the standard-bearers in the fight against injustice and in the pursuit of the ultimate liberation of Quds, Insha Allah.”
