The Chairman of Rano Local Government Council, Malam Muhammad Naziru Ya’u, has applauded the Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, for his support in facilitating a free medical outreach programme, which includes goiter surgeries, appendectomies, and hernia operations, scheduled to take place in the area on Monday, June 16, 2025.
The council announced that the life-changing medical outreach will be conducted at the Rano Local Government Secretariat, beginning at 10:00 AM.
In a statement signed by the Secretary of the Council, Dr. Ismail Yusuf Musa, the Chairman expressed deep appreciation to the Governor for his commitment to improving healthcare in rural communities.
“On behalf of the people of Rano Local Government Area, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to His Excellency, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, the Executive Governor of Kano State, for his kind support of the upcoming medical outreach programme in our community,” the statement read.
Dr. Yusuf further clarified that the initiative was made possible through the full backing of Chairman Muhammad Naziru Ya’u.
“This life-changing intervention, which comes with the backing of our Local Government Council Chairman, Malam Muhammad Naziru Ya’u, and the approval of the state Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, is a great relief to many families in need of such critical healthcare,” the statement added.
Chairman Ya’u called on residents of Rano Local Government Area to come out and benefit from the free services, describing the programme as a rare opportunity to access much-needed medical care.
“We invite all concerned individuals to attend and support this noble exercise aimed at improving the well-being of our people,” the statement added.
