A young officer from Rano Local Government Area of Kano State, Lieutenant Nura Shehu, has etched his name into the history books of the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) with a groundbreaking academic record.
Shehu, a member of the 67 Regular Course and son of Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG Shehu Umar Nadada, emerged as the best graduating officer cadet in the Faculty of Science and Biological Sciences for the Class of 2019.
From his first to fifth term at the Academy, Nura maintained a first-class standing — a feat never before achieved in the Academy’s history. His consistent academic performance set a new benchmark for officer cadets at the prestigious military institution.
The achievement stands not only as a personal milestone for Lieutenant Nura Shehu but also as a moment of pride for his community in Rano and the broader Kano State.
