Nigerian media personality and controversial crossdresser, Okuneye Idris, popularly known as Bobrisky, has publicly declared that he is now a woman.
The self-proclaimed “Mummy of Lagos” made the announcement on his Instagram page, stating that he has undergone gender reassignment surgery and now identifies fully as female.
“It’s time y’all accept Bob is now a woman. Have done everything, congratulations to me,” he wrote. “I can now collect gbola like we all women do. I’m proud of myself.”
Bobrisky, who recently adopted the name Afolashade, expressed defiance toward critics, saying no amount of backlash would stop him from living as he pleases.
“Not even one billion trolls will stop me from getting everything I want. Afolashade Amope, you won,” he said. “They tried to bully me, but they forgot say me self get coconut head.”
In a lengthy post laced with sarcasm and defiance, Bobrisky addressed common criticisms he receives.
“Before you open ur dirty mouth to ask if I have a womb, I don’t need it,” he stated. “I love how dis married men spends heavily on me and I don’t have to keep unwanted child for him to destroy his happy home. I’m here to keep marriages intact.”
He concluded by urging both supporters and detractors to accept his new identity and name.
