The Federal University Dutsin-Ma (FUDMA) has disowned a widely circulated flier promoting an international conference that features musician Dauda Kahuta Rarara and claims to be hosted in partnership with Pleasant College of Advanced Studies.
In a statement signed by the university’s Director of Information and Protocol, Nasiru M. Abdul, FUDMA said it has no connection to the event.
“The University Management is not aware and has not entered into any collaboration with Pleasant College of Advanced Studies or any institution for that matter to host the advertised international conference,” the statement said.
It advised the public, especially academic professionals, to disregard the flier.
“Members of the public particularly those in the academic circles are advised to be wary or ignore such advertisement as the university management will not be liable for any situation arising from the hosting of the so-called international conference,” the statement added.
