By Ibrahim A. Makama

A total of 650 young Nigerians have completed a digital training program organized by the ADG Care Foundation under its National IT Skill Acquisition Program.

The training, delivered both online and in person, covered areas such as software development, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, graphic design, content creation, and digital marketing.

At the graduation event, founder of the foundation, Engr. Rabiu Aliyu Garo, stressed the role of digital education in addressing social and economic issues in Nigeria.

“Empowering youth with digital skills is not only a strategy for employment but a foundation for Nigeria’s future,” he said. “This graduation is just the beginning. Many of these youths will move on to job placements and further career support.”

The program involved collaborations with tech companies from India, the UK, and Nigeria, including Celgib Limited, OpenLab, and Syrol Technologies.

The foundation said participants who pass their final assessments will either get jobs or be connected to work-related opportunities.

The program is still ongoing, with more trainees expected to complete their sessions in the coming months.
