Hon. Kabiru Alhassan Rurum, who represents Rano, Kibiya, and Bunkure Federal Constituency, has mourned the death of former Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari, calling it a painful loss to the entire country.
In a statement issued on Sunday, Rurum said, “This is a deeply painful loss, not only for his immediate family and the people of Daura, but for the entire nation. Baba Buhari was more than a former head of state—he was a symbol of discipline, simplicity, and patriotism.”
He said Buhari’s leadership would be remembered for its tough stance on corruption and his effort to hold the country together.
“His years in leadership were marked by sacrifice, integrity, and an unwavering belief in the unity and progress of this country. History will remember him for his resilience and his firm stance against corruption,” Rurum noted.
The lawmaker also prayed for Buhari, “May Allah (SWT) forgive his shortcomings, expand his grave, and grant him a place among the righteous in Aljannatul Firdaus.”
Rurum ended his statement by conveying condolences to Buhari’s family and Nigerians at large.
“On behalf of myself, my family, and the good people of Rano, Kibiya, and Bunkure Federal Constituency, I extend our deepest condolences to his family, the government, and the people of Nigeria.”
