Friends, Associates Celebrate ACP Abdullahi Bala Rano’s Promotion

Friends and associates of Abdullahi Bala Rano organized a walima on Saturday to celebrate his recent promotion to the rank of Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) by the Police Service Commission.

Speaking at the event, the member representing Rano, Kibiya, and Bunkure Federal Constituency, Hon. Kabiru Alhassan Rurum, congratulated the celebrant and urged him to serve as a worthy ambassador of the Nigerian Police Force.

“We are proud of your achievement, and we encourage you to uphold integrity, dedication, and professionalism in your service,” Rurum said.

ACP Rano expressed gratitude to all who attended and recounted his journey into the police force.

“After graduating from the School of Nursing in Kano, I briefly worked with the Kano State Hospital Management Board before joining the Nigeria Police Force. I am grateful for the guidance and support that have brought me here,” he said.

He particularly acknowledged the assistance of Sarkin Kibiya, Alhaji Ahmad Ado Kibiya, and a former staff member at the Police Service Commission, who helped to enlist three candidates from Rano Local Government out of 10,000 applicants.

“Out of 10,000 applicants, only 26 were shortlisted. I am honored to be among them,” ACP Rano added.

The chairman of A.A Rano, Alhaji Auwalu Abdullahi Rano, who was unavoidably absent, was represented by Alhaji Balarabe. In his remarks, he commended ACP Rano, saying:

“True leadership is shown through service, not position. ACP Bala Rano’s journey reminds us that perseverance and integrity are keys to success.”

He added, “The community stands proud when one of our own rises by merit. Let this achievement inspire others to serve diligently.”
