On September 2, the former Borno State governor, ex-senator, and current Nigerian Vice President, Kashim Shettima, reached another milestone by celebrating his 59th birthday.
Mr. Shettima is a businessman and former banker who eventually rose to the pinnacle of the banking industry. His journey in the sector began with the defunct Commercial Bank of Africa Limited before he later joined Zenith Bank. His outstanding performance and contributions earned him an appointment as Commissioner of Finance in Borno State.
Nigerians will no doubt continue to benefit from the expertise of the Agricultural Economist, especially at the ripe age of 59.
The number 59 signifies personal freedom, hard work, humanitarianism, compassion, empathy, and getting work done at the right time. As a loyal and dutiful partner of President Tinubu, Nigerians will surely reap the true dividends of democracy.
In the last two years, the country has witnessed responsive leadership and gigantic ongoing infrastructural development projects crisscrossing the length and breadth of the nation—another sign of fairness from the President and the Vice President.
It is on record that salaries have increased without an astronomical hike in commodity prices. In fact, all and sundry can attest to the undeniable fact that the prices of staple foods are witnessing a monumental decline
For the first time, many building industries are completely out of crisis. Yes, for the first time, the economy is stabilizing, with the Naira gaining momentum against major foreign currencies. The dollar is no longer king. The Naira is now accepted by our Chinese counterparts for business. Nigerians are gradually forgetting to monitor the dollar rate.
No doubt, the country is now on the right track. Optimism is spreading across Nigeria’s economic landscape under President Tinubu and his amiable and dutiful Vice President, Kashim Shettima.
The Promised Land is around the corner. Nigeria is on the path to prosperity. Nigeria will be great again!
