Renowned Hausa musician, Dauda Adamu Kahutu, popularly known as Rarara, is set to be conferred with an Honorary Doctorate Degree by the European-American University (EAU), Commonwealth of Dominica/Republic of Panama African Regional Operations.
According to an invitation released by the organisers, the conferment ceremony will take place on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Nicon Luxury Hotel, Garki, Abuja, at 11:30 a.m.
The award will be presented by the President of the University, Professor John Kersey, FSA, SCOT.
European-American University, based in Paris, France, was established in 2003 as a global university without walls. It operates through internet technology and provides flexible learning opportunities for adults seeking alternatives to the traditional university system.
Rarara, who rose to national prominence through his political praise songs, especially during election campaigns, is regarded as one of the most influential contemporary Hausa musicians.
