Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has said no individual or group can sow discord between him and his political mentor, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, insisting their bond and shared political ideology remain unshaken.
Yusuf made the remarks during a ceremony marking his 69th birthday at his residence on Miller Road in Kano.
“No enemy, whether from outside or within, can come between us. They are liars,” Yusuf said. “Our leader, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, myself, the NNPP government, and the entire Kwankwasiyya family remain united and strong despite the efforts of those who want to see us divided.”
The governor described Kwankwaso, a former two-term governor of Kano State and presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), as a visionary and selfless leader dedicated to public service.
“God has blessed us with a God-fearing and selfless leader in him — a man who loves the people of Kano State and Nigeria, and works tirelessly for their progress and development,” Yusuf added.
He reaffirmed his commitment to advancing the state in line with the Kwankwasiyya philosophy, which emphasizes service, accountability, and empowerment.
In his remarks, Kwankwaso urged members of the NNPP and the Kwankwasiyya Movement nationwide to remain united and committed to the growth of the party.
He expressed gratitude to NNPP National Chairman Dr. Ajuji Ahmed, other party leaders from more than 30 states, and loyalists who attended the celebration.
