NSCDC Arrests Four Suspected Vandals in Kano

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Kano State has arrested four suspected vandals and burglars accused of breaking into homes across three local government areas, the command said on Friday.

NSCDC spokesperson Ibrahim Abdullahi confirmed the arrests in a statement, saying the suspects were apprehended in Dambatta, Fagge, and Tarauni areas during intensified operations to curb criminal activity.

“The suspects have confessed to the crimes, and several stolen items were recovered from them,” Abdullahi said. Items seized included nine mobile phones, three standing fans, three solar panels, a flat-screen television, a bicycle, and other valuables.

He added that investigations had been completed and the suspects would soon be charged in court.

“The command remains committed to protecting critical infrastructure and safeguarding lives and property,” Abdullahi said, urging residents to report suspicious movements to security agencies.

Earlier in September, the Kano command announced the arrest of 19 other suspects linked to vandalism across several local councils.
