A former Secretary of Kibiya Local Government Area in Kano State, Alhaji Auwalu Sabiu Kibiya, is dead.
Family sources said he died in his hometown, Kibiya, after a brief illness. He was 50.
The late Auwalu, who served as council secretary during the administration of former Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, is survived by his wife and five children.
He will be buried later today in Kibiya according to Islamic rites.
