The Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala, says the Federal Government is set to reveal the identities of individuals and groups financing terrorism in the country.
Bwala stated this on Sunday during an interview on Television Continental (TVC), where he said the administration was taking far-reaching measures to strengthen national security.
He said terrorism had grown beyond domestic boundaries and now required stronger international cooperation to address emerging threats.
According to him, global powers increasingly recognise the need to support countries like Nigeria, where extremist organisations continue to attempt expanding their activities.
He said terrorism had been treated as a global security concern since the 9/11 attacks, noting that any nation affected by violent extremism automatically becomes an issue of interest to the international community.
Bwala said this was why Nigeria would continue to work closely with international partners to disrupt terror networks and their funding channels.
He explained that extremist operations, once concentrated in parts of the Middle East, had shifted towards the Sahel region, creating new security challenges for West Africa.
Bwala said the Tinubu administration was intensifying efforts to confront the threat, adding that those responsible for financing or enabling terrorism would soon be exposed.
He said Nigerians would, in the coming days, be briefed on the identities of those involved in supporting terrorism across the country.
