Former National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr Kola Ologbondiyan, has withdrawn his membership from the party.
Ologbondiyan made this known in a letter addressed to the PDP Chairman of Okekoko Ward (09), Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi, which he shared on his social media handle on Saturday.
In the letter, he expressed gratitude to the party leadership at all levels for the opportunities given to him to serve both the party and the country.
He said he took the decision after reviewing his participation in the party, stressing that his withdrawal was based on personal reasons.
“It is now imperative to bring your attention to the fact that I have reviewed my participation in the PDP and came to the conclusion that, for personal reasons, I need to make my exit,” he stated.
Ologbondiyan subsequently informed the party of his decision to formally withdraw his membership.
The letter, dated Dec. 5, 2025, also conveyed his goodwill to the party leadership.
Ologbondiyan previously served as Director of Media and Publicity of the PDP Presidential Campaign Council during the 2019 general elections.
He has a background in journalism and also worked as an aide to a former Senate President, Sen. David Mark, who is the current Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
