The All Progressives Congress, APC, has said the economic and governance reforms being implemented by President Bola Tinubu are aimed at delivering long-term stability and shared prosperity for Nigerians.
In a Christmas and New Year message issued from the office of the APC National Chairman, the ruling party said the Tinubu administration remains firmly guided by the Renewed Hope Agenda, which it described as a clear roadmap for national recovery, institutional strengthening and sustainable development.
In a statement signed by Abimbola Tooki, Special Adviser to the APC National Chairman on Media and Communications Strategy, the party acknowledged the challenges associated with the ongoing reforms but insisted they are necessary to secure the country’s future.
“While the journey of reform is demanding, these measures are necessary to secure long-term stability and prosperity for our nation,” the APC said.
The party noted that Christmas offers Nigerians an opportunity to reflect on shared values of sacrifice, love and renewal, while renewing collective faith in the nation despite prevailing challenges.
“Christmas is a season of hope, sacrifice, love, and renewal. It offers us an opportunity to reflect on our shared humanity and to renew our collective faith in the promise of Nigeria,” the statement read.
According to the APC, the Renewed Hope Agenda under President Tinubu’s leadership is focused on economic recovery, social inclusion, national security and sustainable development.
The party added that the reforms are designed to restore confidence and expand opportunities across the country.
“The Renewed Hope Agenda is designed to restore confidence, expand opportunities, protect the vulnerable, and build a Nigeria where progress is shared and the future is full of promise,” the statement added.
The ruling party also acknowledged the resilience of Nigerians amid current economic pressures, assuring citizens that their sacrifices are recognised and valued by the administration.
The APC commended its members and leaders at all levels, including governors, lawmakers and party officials, for their loyalty and commitment to progressive governance.
“To members of our great party at all levels, I commend your steadfastness and commitment to progressive governance. Your unity and discipline remain vital as we continue to support the administration and advance the ideals upon which our party was founded,” the statement read.
The party expressed optimism about the coming year, urging Nigerians to remain united and resolute in building a stronger and more prosperous nation.
“As we celebrate Christmas and prepare to welcome the New Year, let us remain united in purpose, hopeful in spirit, and resolute in our determination to build a stronger, more prosperous Nigeria,” the statement added.
