The Executive Director of the Youth Society for the Prevention of Infectious Diseases and Social Vices (YOSPIS), Amb. Zainab Nasir Ahmad, has been honoured with the Gamji Leadership Legacy Award for her outstanding leadership and contributions to youth development, peacebuilding, and social progress.
The award was presented during the 3rd edition of the Gamji Leadership Legacy Summit & Awards, held over the weekend at Baba Ahmad University, Kano.
Organised by the Arewa Peace Ambassadors Forum (APAF Peace for All), the event focused on youth leadership, governance, and security while promoting the enduring legacy of Sir Ahmadu Bello, the Sardauna of Sokoto.
Speaking at the event, the Coordinator of the Forum, Comrade Nura Ali Abubakar, said the award recognises leaders who inspire, unite, and create a lasting impact for generations.
“Amb. Zainab Nasir Ahmad exemplifies outstanding leadership, selfless service, and commitment to peace, youth development, and social progress, in the true spirit of the Sardauna’s enduring legacy,” Abubakar said.
He added that the summit aimed to promote peacebuilding, youth leadership, and social cohesion, providing a platform to celebrate individuals whose work positively influences society.
The Gamji Leadership Legacy Awards, held as part of Gamji Week 2025, continue to serve as a platform for honouring leaders whose actions leave a lasting impression on communities and inspire future generations.
