Dr. Bature Abdulaziz, founder and president of the Patriotic Elders of Nigeria (PEN) and president of the Harmonized National Traders Association, has passed away after a brief illness. He was 76 years old.
Born in 1950 at Adakawa Quarters in Dala Local Government Area of Kano State, the late Dr. Abdulaziz was a well-known business icon and community leader.
He gained prominence through his leadership of the Kantin Kwari Market Traders Association, where he vigorously advocated for the rights of traders and played a significant role in enhancing business activities across the state.
Confirming the death to Kano Times, one of his sons, Ismail Abdulaziz, said the late elder would be buried tomorrow, Sunday.
He said, “My father, Dr. Bature Abdulaziz, passed away after a short illness. We are still mourning his loss, but we are grateful for his life and the impact he made on our community.”
Ismail added, “The funeral prayer will hold tomorrow by 10:00 a.m. at our residence in Yankaba Quarters, Kano.”
