Killing of Mother, Children Unacceptable, Gov. Yusuf Orders Security Clampdown

Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has condemned the killing of a woman and her children in Dorayi Chiranchi Quarters of Kano metropolis, describing the incident as “barbaric” and “senseless.”

The governor expressed his reaction in a statement issued on Saturday by his spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa.

Yusuf said the murder of a mother and her children was unacceptable and an attack on human dignity, stressing that those responsible must be brought to justice.

“The killing of a mother and her innocent children is barbaric, senseless and a grave assault on human dignity,” the statement quoted the governor as saying.

He extended condolences to the bereaved family, residents of Dorayi Chiranchi and the people of Kano State, praying for the repose of the souls of the deceased.

The governor directed the Kano State Police Command to immediately track down and arrest the perpetrators, warning that anyone found responsible would be prosecuted.

He also ordered the Kano State Neighbourhood Corps to intensify patrols and surveillance in vulnerable areas to prevent further incidents.

According to the statement, Yusuf urged residents to remain calm and cooperate with security agencies by providing useful information.

“The government remains fully committed to protecting lives and property across the state,” the governor said.
