Gov Yusuf Launches APC E-Registration in Kano, Vows to Strengthen Party Structure

Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has officially launched the All Progressives Congress (APC) electronic registration (e-registration) exercise in the state, describing it as a major step toward strengthening the party’s internal democracy and expanding its membership base.

The development was disclosed in a statement issued on Tuesday by the Director General, Media and Publicity, Government House Kano, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa.

According to the statement, Governor Yusuf flagged off the exercise on Monday at the Coronation Hall, Government House, Kano, shortly after rejoining the APC. He was accompanied by eight members of the House of Representatives, 21 members of the Kano State House of Assembly and members of the State Executive Council.

The governor said the e-registration initiative was “a transparent, inclusive and technology-driven process designed to modernise party administration and ensure credible membership records.”

He explained that the exercise would “enhance efficiency, eliminate duplication and provide an accurate database that reflects the true strength of the party across wards, local government areas and the state at large.”

Governor Yusuf urged party members, supporters and prospective members to actively participate in the exercise to guarantee its success.

He also commended the APC leadership at the national, state and local levels for embracing digital tools to improve party operations, stressing the need for strict adherence to the guidelines to ensure a smooth and credible process.

The statement added that the e-registration exercise would be conducted across all wards in Kano State, providing members with a seamless platform to register, update their details and reaffirm their membership of the party.
