The MAAUN Group of Universities has congratulated Prof. Muhammad Sanusi Magaji on his appointment as the Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Science and Technology, Kabo (FUSTK) by Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In a statement issued on Friday, the Founder of the universities, Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, described the appointment as “well deserved,” citing Prof. Magaji’s wealth of experience and strong academic pedigree.
Before his appointment, Prof. Magaji served as the pioneer Rector of the Federal Polytechnic, Kabo, prior to its conversion to the Federal University of Science and Technology by the Federal Government. He also previously held office as the acting President of Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria, Kano.
“On behalf of MAAUN Group of Universities, I wish to congratulate Prof. Magaji on his appointment as the pioneer Vice Chancellor of FUSTK,” Prof. Gwarzo said.
He described Prof. Magaji as a distinguished scholar committed to the advancement of education, expressing confidence in his capacity to deliver on his mandate through the promotion of research and innovation for academic excellence.
Prof. Gwarzo further expressed optimism that the new Vice Chancellor, who has served in various academic and administrative capacities, would bring about the needed transformation and development in the university.
He prayed to Almighty Allah to grant the new VC the wisdom and strength to steer the institution to greater heights.
