A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Maryam Shetty, on Monday mobilised hundreds of youths to the formal reception of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf into the party in Kano State.
The event, held at the Sani Abacha Stadium, drew top party leaders and supporters from across the state.
Shetty, a former ministerial nominee under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, arrived at the venue dressed in white attire.
She was accompanied by a large number of youths, whose presence highlighted her growing influence within the party structure in Kano and beyond.
During the programme, Shetty and her supporters openly declared support for President Tinubu, Governor Yusuf, and the All Progressives Congress.
She was seen interacting with party leaders and supporters throughout the event, exchanging greetings with associates who approached her.
The reception marked a significant moment for the APC in Kano, attracting a broad spectrum of stakeholders and party loyalists from across the state.
