Baba-Ahmed: Tinubu May Be Worst President If Re-elected in 2027

Former Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Political Matters, Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, has said President Bola Tinubu may emerge as the worst leader in Nigeria’s history if re-elected in 2027.

Baba-Ahmed made the remark on Tuesday during an interview on Political Paradigm aired by Channels Television.

The former presidential aide said he had not seen any improvement in the President’s performance since his resignation, stressing that the situation in the country had deteriorated.

“Our nation has been a lot more insecure now than when I left. What I see at home and on the street when people speak, the level of desperation and poverty is most pronounced, especially in the northern part of the country,” he said.

He also accused the President of focusing on political calculations ahead of the next general election.

“I see a president who is amassing all the politicians around him with the hope that those politicians are going to deliver him in the second term.

“That is poor thinking. It’s not strategic, and it’s not Tinubu that we used to hear about,” Baba-Ahmed stated.

Expressing concern over the President’s leadership trajectory, he added, “I’m sorry to say that I think President Tinubu will make the worst president if he returns to power in 2027.”
