The Federal Polytechnic Bali community in Taraba State has been plunged into mourning following the death of one of its staff members, Hajiya Halima Adamu Chin.
According to a statement from the institution, Hajiya Halima, who was a staff member of the Student Affairs Division and was recently posted to the Open Registry, passed away on Wednesday night at a hospital in Jalingo after a brief illness.
Her passing, the statement said, “has come as a great shock to colleagues and members of the Polytechnic community, who remember her as a dedicated, humble, and committed staff member who carried out her duties with diligence.”
Colleagues and friends have prayed that Almighty Allah forgive her shortcomings and grant her Jannatul Firdaus.
The Polytechnic, through its official channels, “extends its heartfelt condolences to her family and loved ones, praying that Allah grants them the strength and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.”
Hajiya Halima was laid to rest today at 9:00 a.m. at her residence in Jalingo, in accordance with Islamic rites.
The institution concluded the statement with a heartfelt prayer for the deceased: “May her soul rest in peace. Ameen.”
