Rano Emir Urges Council to Decongest Roads Around Hospital

The Emir of Rano, Ambassador (Dr.) Muhammad Isah Umaru (Autan Bawo), has called on the Rano Local Government Council to provide an alternative location for traders operating around the Rano General Hospital, citing concerns over road congestion and frequent accidents in the area.

The Emir made the call during his traditional Sallah homage visit to the Rano Local Government Secretariat.

According to a statement signed by the Rano Zonal Information Officer, Abdullahi Musa Gyadi Gyadi, the Emir noted that residents and visitors of the Rano General Hospital have expressed concern over recurring accidents.

He said, “In order to put an end to the problem, we urge the Rano Local Government Council to consider allocating a designated space where traders can be relocated away from the hospital premises.”

Responding, the local government chairman, Malam Muhammad Naziru Ya’u Rano, represented by Council Speaker Alhaji Ahmad Jibrin, assured that measures would soon be deliberated to address the accidents near the hospital.

Alhaji Jibrin stated, “Rano, Bunkure, and Kibiya Local Government Councils will soon join hands to strengthen security activities, enhancing the safety of lives and properties, especially in light of rising cases of kidnapping and other criminal activities in parts of Kano State.”

He also sympathized with the Rano Emirate and the public over the recent abduction of the Kibiya Local Government Council Secretary, praying for his safe release.

Earlier, the council’s Director of Personnel Management, Alhaji Ado Dan’Azumi, assured that workers would continue to collaborate with the council and Emirate to implement projects, while commending the Emir for his annual Sallah homage visits.
