President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Paris, France, for the second leg of his three-week annual leave in Europe.
The President was received on arrival by Nigeria’s Ambassador to France, Mr Ayodele Oke, according to visuals made available on Sunday.
Tinubu departed Abuja on Aug. 30 for the three-week holiday, with London as his first destination before proceeding to Paris.
A statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Mr Bayo Onanuga, had said the President would return to Abuja after the vacation to join the campaign for the 2027 general elections.
The statement, titled “President Tinubu Begins Three-Week Leave,” said the President was expected to resume official engagements after the vacation.
Tinubu’s departure came about a week after the release of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council list, which named him and Vice-President Kashim Shettima as chairman and vice-chairman respectively.
Paris has remained one of Tinubu’s frequently visited foreign destinations since he assumed office in May 2023.
According to a tally by The PUNCH, Tinubu has visited Paris at least 13 times and spent more than 50 days there on official, working and private visits.
The newspaper also reported that the President had spent more than 270 days outside Nigeria, visiting at least 30 countries on 51 trips since assuming office.
It further estimated that the President had covered about 260,000 nautical miles and spent more than 400 hours in flight.
