Former Kaduna State Governor and chieftain of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Nasir El-Rufai, has shared a personal message marking the birthday of his wife, Hadiza Isma El-Rufai.
Posting on his verified social media handles, El-Rufai wrote: “Please join me and members of the El-Rufai Family to wish my best friend, university classmate, teenage sweetheart and dearest wife, Hadiza Isma El-Rufai a very happy birthday. We pray for Almighty God to continue to bless her with good health, long life and happiness.”
He outlined her academic and professional background: “Hadiza is a bundle of brains, beauty and brawn, holder of three masters’ degrees—in architecture, business administration, and creative writing—fluent in French and a published novelist.”
Reflecting on their relationship, El-Rufai said, “My life began to have meaning when we married nearly 40 years ago. She is a taskmaster and disciplined organizer of our home and our lives.”
He also described her role in the family: “the proud mother of Hon. Bello El-Rufai, his many siblings and the best grand-mom to our three cute grandchildren.”
El-Rufai concluded his message with: “Happy birthday, Hadiza, and God bless you forever more.”
