The caretaker chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State, Comrade Michael Onajega, will launch a “Back to School” programme on Oct. 2 to provide financial and material support for students in the community.
The initiative will distribute notebooks, scholarships, and other school supplies to ease the burden on families struggling with rising education costs, Onajega said in a statement.
“Education is the key to unlocking potential and creating opportunities for future generations,” he said. “This programme is my commitment to the students of Isoko North, assuring them that they are not alone in their educational journey.”
Onajega urged local businesses and corporate organisations to partner with the council to expand the programme’s reach.
The support scheme is expected to benefit hundreds of students as schools resume for the new academic year.
