Durbin Kano’s Death a Profound Loss to State, Nation – Gov Yusuf

Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has expressed shock over the death of the late Durbin Kano, Muhammad Lawan Koguna, who passed away on Friday after a prolonged illness.

Governor Yusuf’s condolence was conveyed on Saturday through his spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, in Kano.

The governor described the deceased as a symbol of resilience and determination, noting that his life exemplified hard work and dedication. He commended Koguna’s contributions to the development of Kano State, saying they would not be forgotten.

“Today, we mourn the loss of a great son of Kano, a renowned businessman, and a respected traditional titleholder, Late Durbin Kano, Muhammad Lawan Koguna. His demise is a profound loss to the state and the nation,” the governor said.

He added that Koguna’s death had created a void difficult to fill, emphasizing his role as a pillar of strength for his family, the state, and the nation.

Governor Yusuf extended condolences to the bereaved family, the Kano Emirate Council, and the people of Kano State. He prayed that Almighty Allah grant the deceased eternal rest and give the family the courage to endure the irreplaceable loss.
